Game Development!
I’ve been working on a game, and decided to create a development blog as I go. I’m a bit later into the process, but from here-on-in I will be posting updates. I am making the game in Unity, almost single-handedly.
In the above picture, I had just created a working editor to place buildings! In this case, something that won’t be actually possible, some trees. Planets already generate wonderfully, and I will post some pictures of any beautiful formations that I find or add.
I am creating a kind of MMO RTS (Real-time strategy) game, where each person starts on their own large planet and builds up their base, etc. At a certain point, other players will be able to invade your planet (Only while you are online) and try to defeat you to capture your planet. They can then use this planet for its resources, defensive strategy, whatever they want. In the future there may be guilds, raids on AI planets with your friends, or other fun things to do. There is still a lot to plan, but I tend to do that as I go.
